Introduction

Intermission Concessions Co. ("Intermission," "we," "us" or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose and protect personal information when you visit our website, sign up for our newsletter, or join our venue waitlist (together, the "Services").

By using the Services, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

Information we collect

We collect the following categories of personal information:

  • Identifiers and contact details — such as your name, email address, phone number, and the venue or organization you represent, when you subscribe to our newsletter or join our venue waitlist.
  • Message content — any optional message or note you choose to send us through a form.
  • Internet and usage information — such as your browser type, device type, approximate location derived from your IP address, pages visited and interactions with the site, collected automatically through standard web technologies.

We do not collect payment information, account credentials, or sensitive personal information (such as government identifiers, precise geolocation, or health data) through the Services.

How we use your information

  • To send you our newsletter and updates you have asked to receive.
  • To respond to your inquiries and manage venue waitlist requests.
  • To operate, maintain and improve our website and offerings.
  • To protect the security and integrity of the Services.
  • To comply with legal obligations and enforce our rights.

How we share your information

We may share personal information with:

  • Service providers — vendors that help us operate the Services, such as our email marketing platform (MailerLite) and website hosting providers. These providers may only use your information to perform services for us.
  • Legal and safety purposes — when required by law, regulation or legal process, or to protect the rights, property and safety of Intermission, our users or others.
  • Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, subject to this policy.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Cookies and analytics

Our website may use cookies and similar technologies to remember your preferences and to understand how the site is used. You can set your browser to refuse cookies or alert you when cookies are being sent; some parts of the site may not function properly without them.

Data retention and security

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy — for example, for as long as you remain subscribed to our newsletter — or as required by law. We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect personal information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, and to opt out of marketing communications at any time. Every marketing email we send includes an unsubscribe link. To exercise any other right, contact us at hello@intermissionconcessions.com.

California privacy rights (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act ("CCPA/CPRA"), gives you the rights described below.

Notice at collection

We collect the categories of personal information listed under "Information we collect" above — identifiers and contact details, message content, and internet/usage information — for the purposes described in "How we use your information." We retain each category only as long as reasonably necessary for those purposes. We do not collect sensitive personal information.

Your California rights

  • Right to know and access — you may request the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the sources, the purposes for collection, and the categories of third parties with whom we share it.
  • Right to correct — you may request that we correct inaccurate personal information we hold about you.
  • Right to delete — you may request that we delete personal information we collected from you, subject to certain legal exceptions.
  • Right to opt out of sale or sharing — we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, so no opt-out is necessary. If this ever changes, we will update this policy and provide a "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" mechanism.
  • Right to limit use of sensitive personal information — not applicable, as we do not collect sensitive personal information.
  • Right to non-discrimination — we will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.

How to exercise your rights

To submit a request, email us at hello@intermissionconcessions.com with the subject line "California Privacy Request." We will verify your request by matching the information you provide with the information we hold, and we will respond within 45 days as required by law (with one permitted 45-day extension when reasonably necessary). You may designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf; we may require proof of the agent's authorization and verification of your identity directly.

Children's privacy

The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or under 16 in California). If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page shows when it was most recently revised. Material changes will be posted on this page.
